Robert B. Moodie


Background:

Robert B. Moodie is the Senior Partner at the firm, having joined the firm upon graduation from Marquette University Law School in 1982.  Attorney Moodie was a member of the Marquette University Law Review and was also a member of Phi Delta Phi.

 

Early in his career, Attorney Moodie litigated a variety of issues and has assisted and represented clients in both the State and Federal Courts.  Attorney Moodie has tried a number of cases involving personal injury; contract disputes; family law matters; and various other claims. 

 

Practice Areas:

Attorney Moodie’s practice has changed over the years, as he now concentrates in transactional work, with his primary area of focus in real estate; representing small business clients; doing some commercial litigation; and advising clients on a variety of employment related matters.  Attorney Moodie has developed employment contracts and agreements, including termination and non-competition agreements, as well as developing personnel policies and employee handbooks.

 

Volunteer Service:

Attorney Moodie has spoken to a number of organizations on employer/employee related topics and is a frequent speaker before professional groups.  Attorney Moodie recently taught Business Law at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and enjoys the challenges of today’s students.

 

Attorney Moodie is involved in a variety of community activities, including being a member of the Board of Directors of Badger Boys State (a civics program for Wisconsin’s high school seniors-to-be).  Attorney Moodie has assisted Badger Boys State for almost twenty-five (25) years, and was in charge of the legal staff that assists with that outstanding program.  Attorney Moodie has also been President of the Board of Directors at Merrill Hills Country Club; President of the Board of Directors of the Waukesha Civic Theater; assisted Waukesha South High School in the State of Wisconsin’s High School Mock Trial Program; and assisted other not-for-profit organizations.

 

Personal:

Attorney Moodie is married with three (3) children.  Attorney Moodie has a variety of interests including competitive golf, basketball and watching pro-football.  He is an avid reader and enjoys the theater.
